There was once a princess, who lived in a giant palace, with lots of servants and ladies-in-waiting, but yet, always felt alone. No one truly cares about her, or really loves her, she thought. I'm always alone. Always, always. One day, when she was out taking a walk in the woods, she saw a little homely cottage. Very small, very minuscule compared to the giant palace she lived in. She felt that no one could surely find happiness in such a cramped space, and just at that moment, a mother and her son came out of the house. They were loving, and truly cared for each other. The princess was appalled. How could it be that people who are so poor could find happiness, and yet she, the princess, the rich and authoritative one, could not?
The next day, the princess was alerted that she had a new servant, and he turned out to be none other than the son she saw in the woods the day before. At first, she was jealous of him, and resented him, but soon, slowly, he made his way into her heart. Unknowingly, the princess gradually fell in love with him.
One day, when the princess was about to confess her feelings to him, he saw her with another lady, a peasant lady, not even half as rich or authoritative as her, and yet, they were very happy together. They truly cared and loved each other, and they were happy, very happy. The princess was crushed. How could it be? What did she lack in which the lady possess? Crushed, utterly crushed, she gave a small sigh of defeat. She was, perhaps, fated never to be loved.
Many things happened today. Many many many. I think I'm going to drown in melancholy.
That story above is written by me, so there might be mistakes. I've lost my confidence in my writing, so yeah, don't expect the best.
